We take a free system already maintained by solid communities, and we customize everything on top: launcher, icons, motion, hardened settings, a companion app signed by us. If you've seen what our interfaces can do on the web, imagine an entire phone dressed to that standard — that's exactly the job. A proven mainstream phone (think Pixel or Fairphone), running a free, actively maintained OS (GrapheneOS or /e/OS), prepared in the Kali Kana workshop: hardened settings, Kali visual identity, and wired from day one into our sovereign telecom stack.
Why not keep my current phone?
You can — and if what you need is to back up or take back control of your current device, our Kali Keep offer is what you want, not a new phone. Kalitel is for people who want a clean device from the start, outside the lockdown coming at the end of 2026.
Are you rebuilding an OS from scratch?
No — and nobody serious does. We take a free OS already maintained by solid communities and customize on top: launcher, icons, settings, a companion app signed by us. The foundation stays audited and updated; the design and integration are ours.
What about banking and everyday apps?
On the reference device (Pixel + GrapheneOS), banking apps work — that's precisely what sets it apart from radical Linux phones. Google tap-to-pay remains the known exception. We tell you what works and what doesn't, measured device by device.
Remote control — isn't that spying?
It's the opposite: YOU hand over control, when you decide, for a repair or a migration. Technically it runs through Android's accessibility service, switched on consciously — not through a backdoor. And the lock screen stays protected.
